안녕하십니까? ODPC Band Academy 에서 소식을 전해 드립니다. 여름이 시작될 때면 여러가지 이유로 즐거움과 기대감으로 가득 합니다. 지난 9 년간 우리 ODPC Band Academy (OBA) 는 이 지역에 그런 기쁨과 유익함을 선사하며 섬겨왔습니다. 하지만 올해 초부터 발생한 COVID-19 의 영향으로 올해 2020 년의 OBA 는 취소 하는 것이 옳다고 결정 내려졌습니다.
우리 모두가 OBA 의 10 주년을 맞이하며 기대했던 모습들이 많았던 만큼 아쉬움도 클 것으로 생각됩니다. 반이 조금 넘은 올해는 여러가지 이유로 많은 이들에게 큰 상실감을 가져다 주었습니다. 하지만 이럴 때 우리는 어디에 소망의 닻을 내려야 할지 다시 한번 깨닫게 되는 계기가 됩니다.
OBA 는 이런 시간을 발판 삼아 더 좋은 모습으로 다음해를 기약하며 준비하려 합니다. 지난날들의 자료를 바탕으로 참가자들의 필요를 채워주고, 여느 때와 같이 높은 곳을 목표로 삼아 예술성과 유용성을 기반하여 더욱 준비된 모습으로 섬기겠습니다. 그때 다시 만나기를 소망하며 2021 ODPC Band Academy: 10th anniversary 함께 기대해 주시기 바랍니다.
Year 2020 has been filled with pains, and ODPC Band Academy (OBA) sends sympathy to our families and friends. Although this year would have marked 10th anniversary of OBA, we deliver the news of cancellation in great grief. While the disease is still spreading, our administration has decided that it would not be our best judgment to hold the event as we put priority on our families’ health.
We feel our families’ frustration and disappointment. However, we would like to take this time to better equip ourselves and prepare for the following year. OBA strives to be the center for learning, a life-changing experience for all our participants as well as our instructors. It has been our wonderful time and privilege serving our local communities the past 9 years. As we take this halt and prepare for the longer race, we will be ready to provide even more valuable time. We hope to see you next year.
